Growth is rarely as dramatic as we imagine. Sometimes it looks like making different choices when nobody is watching.

There is a version of success we are taught to perform. The title. The apartment. The relationship. The photographs. The announcement. But there is another kind of progress that rarely makes it onto Instagram. Knowing when to leave. Learning how to say no. Choosing work that gives you energy instead of simply giving you status. Becoming comfortable with the possibility that the life you want may not look particularly impressive to everyone else.

“Your next chapter does not have to impress anyone.”

Growth can be quiet

Not every transformation needs an announcement. Sometimes growth is simply noticing that something that once frightened you no longer does. Sometimes it is realising that you have outgrown a room, a role or even a version of yourself. And sometimes it is choosing to stay exactly where you are because you finally understand that staying can also be a choice.

There is no universal timeline for becoming. You are allowed to take your time.
